Eleanor decided that after painting a number of flowers from reference, she wanted to apply some imagination and thought.. what if roses were blue and had pink leaves?

Working one leaf at a time, first applying water then painting the outline with dark blue. Next dragging the paint toward the centre of the petal, then adding different colours to show the shadows. Finishing with a nice pink stem and leaves.
